Crispy Tofu Fingers

Party finger food is fun and delicious, but there is no reason it can't be healthy too. Our Crispy Tofu Fingers are just that, fun and delicious, but you don't have to tell anyone they are also healthy!
- 1 package of firm pressed tofu, 13 oz (400 g)
- ½ cup nutritional yeast or whole wheat bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon of dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon of dried basil
- ½ teaspoon of dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon of dried onion powder
- ½ teaspoon of dried granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190.56 °C).
- Rinse, drain and dry the tofu. Slice the tofu into ¼ inch thick strips or cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl combine all the spices and nutritional yeast or bread crumbs
- Line a cooking tray or baking dish with parchment paper. Dredge the tofu through the dry mix and arrange strips on the cooking tray.
- Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, and turn the tofu pieces over at the midpoint. The longer the time you bake the tofu, the more crunch you achieve.
- After 30 or 40 minutes your Crispy Tofu Fingers are ready. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
Optionally, you may serve your Crispy Tofu Fingers with a dip or a sauce. Use your favourite store-bought barbecue sauce or oriental dipping sauce. Alternately, you may serve with our Traditional Chickpea Hummus or, for a big kick, our Jess Hot Sauce.
